Antony Starr: Actor’s Biography, Net Worth, and Personal Life

Is Antony Starr married in real life?

The public record is thin. Starr has kept his romantic life far more guarded than Homelander’s fictional one, and he has not offered a definitive public statement about a current spouse.

Does Antony Starr have children?

• No publicly confirmed children appear in any of the major interview records.
• Starr has not used press for The Boys to discuss fatherhood in his own life.

That silence is itself a pattern. Homelander’s son Ryan is central to the show, but Starr has kept his real-life family off the record.

Who was Antony Starr married to?

• Reports have long named Lucy Wigmore as Starr’s partner.
• There is no verified wedding date or divorce filing in the public record.

The distinction matters: a tabloid-level detail can circulate for years without ever being confirmed.

The pattern: Starr treats his private life like a locked door, which makes the few reported details about his relationship feel more significant than they are.

What happened to Antony Starr?

Most of this section is tied to a single 2022 incident that Starr has had to answer for ever since.

What happened to Antony Starr’s head?

• In 2022, Starr was involved in a bar incident that left him with a head injury.
• The visible injury later became part of his public appearances.

Starr has not made the full story a talking point, so the account stays fragmented.

What are the allegations against Antony Starr?

• He faced assault allegations after the incident.
• No charges were filed, and Starr has continued working.

The legal end may be closed, but the interview follow-ups are not. Starr has had to address it during press cycles for The Boys.

The trade-off: One night in 2022 created a permanent footnote to a career built on playing a violent character.

How rich is Antony Starr?

Estimates put Starr’s net worth around $5 million, though he has never confirmed a precise figure. The bulk of that estimate comes from his starring role on The Boys and his earlier television work in New Zealand.

The implication: Starr’s financial position is strong enough to be selective, but the role that made him famous is also the role he keeps being asked to explain.

Where does Antony Starr live?

Starr has talked about his New Zealand background and his American supervillain role in a YouTube interview. He has also mentioned having a green card in another 2026 YouTube appearance.

• New Zealand remains his home base.
• He often works in the United States while filming The Boys.

The pattern: Starr lives between two countries, and he treats both as part of the same story: a Kiwi actor playing an American monster.

What is Antony Starr’s personality like?

He has also said the character’s terror comes from volatility and the threat that he could abruptly kill anyone nearby, according to Rolling Stone.

Does Antony Starr support LGBTQ rights?

• Starr has expressed support for LGBTQ rights in public statements.
• He has not turned that support into a constant topic during press.

Is Antony Starr related to Ringo Starr?

• No relation.
• Despite the shared last name, Starr is not connected to the Beatles drummer.

How tall is Antony Starr?

• Starr is roughly 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m).

Why this matters: The distance between Starr and the character is the entire trick of the show — without it, Homelander would just be a cartoon villain.

What’s confirmed vs. what’s unclear

The pattern: The few facts that can be verified are exactly the ones Starr has chosen to make public.

Quotes: Starr on Homelander

“Homelander’s terror comes from volatility and the threat that he could abruptly kill anyone nearby.”

— Antony Starr, via Rolling Stone

“Homelander is a victim who was damaged deeply and exploited throughout his life.”

— Antony Starr, via Rolling Stone

In an IGN interview, Starr described Homelander as “a very emotionally fragile and damaged person who twists things to shape his own story.”

The through line: Starr consistently frames Homelander as a broken product of his environment, not a pure villain.

The bottom line for fans

For fans, the takeaway is clear: Starr’s Homelander is a performance, not a confession. For Starr, the trade-off is just as clear: keep mining the character’s damaged psychology, or risk being remembered as the monster he plays.
